Good morning. Australia’s Prime Minister has accused Facebook of “unfriending” the nation after it banned news stories from being shared on news feeds in the country.

It follows Australia’s threats to introduce new rules, its News Media Bargaining Code, that will make technology giants pay to show any news stories in their apps.

“We will not be intimidated by BigTech seeking to pressure our Parliament as it votes on our important News Media Bargaining Code,” Morrison said in a post on the site.

Now, Australians are effectively blocked from seeing any news stories on Facebook, while other public interest information such as weather has also been affected.

Elsewhere, the price of Bitcoin is now just under $52,000.
