English Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur has signed international trading platform Libertex as its ‘Official Trading Partner’.
The sponsorship was brokered by the Sportquake agency which worked with Libertex to agree the deal.
Under the agreement, Libertex will have a presence across the club’s digital channels and LED perimeter advertising system on match days.
It will also offer club-related rewards to the brand’s 2.9 million international clients, including exclusive events and premium matchday experiences at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when fans can safely return to stadia.
Fran Jones, head of partnerships, Tottenham Hotspur, said: “At Tottenham Hotspur, technology and innovation is key to everything we do and we are excited to partner with Libertex, an organisation that shares this commitment through its own products and services.”
Libertex replaces cryptocurrency trading platform eToro in the trading partner role. In 2018-19, Spurs were among seven Premier League clubs to sign with eToro.
Spurs, along with Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Cardiff City, Leicester City and Southampton, collected the sponsorship money from the platform in bitcoin.
The brand added Everton and Aston Villa to the portfolio for the 2019-20 season, dropping Newcastle United, Brighton and Cardiff.
